The Boathouse Restaurant – Interiors

Recently completed, the redesigned interior of The Boathouse restaurant offers an authentic nautical atmosphere that feels like a true boathouse, while remaining neutral enough to allow weddings and private events to add their personal touch. Our goal was to transform the space into a sought-after event venue while preserving its charm as a revered lakeside dining spot.

The redesign features new bi-fold windows that open to reveal sweeping 180-degree views of Lake George, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor experience. The interior is highlighted by deep Essex green paneled walls, which provide a sophisticated backdrop for eclectic art and curated accessories. A custom canoe light fixture greets guests at the entry, setting the tone for the rest of the space.

The bathrooms were revamped with a nautical theme, incorporating shiplap walls, wood ceilings, and maritime-inspired accents. One bathroom was also brought up to full ADA compliance, ensuring inclusivity for all guests.

One of the primary challenges was concealing the wait station and mechanical equipment above the kitchen. The design team addressed this by integrating wood-clad interior “roofs” that blend into the existing timber ceilings, complemented by customizable mood lighting.

The Boathouse Interiors now offers an inviting blend of sophistication and comfort, making it the perfect venue for both dining and events along the scenic shores of Lake George.
