Tucked away on the banks of Eastern Lake George, you will find the charming Harper’s Fin Lake House. Our team worked tirelessly to create a bright and inviting home, blending traditional and modern elements to reflect the family’s design style. This spacious 4,800 square foot home boasts an H-shaped layout, which maximizes stunning views of the lake from key living areas. The open-concept floor plan centers around a two-story great room with a cozy loft, providing the perfect space for relaxation and entertainment.

The great room features a floor-to-ceiling window wall that encompasses a view of the outdoor boat house and lake. The two-story stone fireplace is the centerpiece of the room and is complemented by stunning reclaimed Hemlock beams and trusses. On the left side of the great room, you’ll find the family game room, den, and home office. On the right side, you’ll discover the open kitchen and dining room, which lead out to an outdoor kitchen overlooking the outdoor entertainment area.

The upper level of the house separates the area for kids from that of adults, with a loft hallway that overlooks the lower great room. There are two individual guest suites located on either side of the residence. One of the suites has a full, on-suite bathroom, while the other has a powder room. The bunk room, which faces the lake, has three built-in twin beds with pull-out trundles that can accommodate up to six people. This room has a playful vibe, with its abstract landscape wallpaper, blue shiplap ceiling, and subtle nautical accents. On the other hand, the master suite has a more subtle color scheme, embracing a neutral palette with warm white oak ceilings and floors with a pop of blue. The master bedroom provides a soft and cozy space to view the lake from the moment the client awakens to the time when the sun sets. This home design was carefully crafted to accomodate a large family looking to come together and enjoy all seasons from the inside out.

Step into a captivating sanctuary where the warmth of reclaimed timber intertwines seamlessly between an inviting living room and a gourmet kitchen. Delight in the bespoke entryway built-ins adorned with handcrafted accents, including charming mirrors that elegantly capture the serene views of the lake beyond.

The cabinetry of the kitchen was meticulously desinged and placed around the ceiling beams, custom hood, and viewing windows that book end the range.

Designed with a neutral-toned kitchen, that sinks within the open great room. This is the heart of the design and allows the views of Lake George to speak for themselves. Thoughtfully designed for versatility, it boasts a dining room table that seamlessly merges with the island, transforming into a spacious gathering spot garnished with ample seating for cherished moments.

This spacious chef’s kitchen was designed to be multi-functional and accommodating to multiple uses. The warm white cabinets are complimented by white artisan subway tile backsplash and reclaimed hemlock beams that interlock across the ceiling. AJA worked with Zobel Kitchens to create functional cabinetry to utilize all the possible space in fun and unique ways.
The Game room, Den, and office sit off of the living room behind the fireplace. When you first enter the game room you are greeted by the sunlight streaming in through the windows flanked by nautical-style lighting and heavy timber trim. As you look up you see a whitewashed white oak ceiling interwoven with reclaimed hemlock heavy timber beams. This space features a pool table, dart area, and custom game storage on the back side of the fireplace. The storage area was custom built out of white oak to hold pool cues, books & board games, pool accessories, and a large tv for watching the game while you play a round with some friends.

AJA speced a decorative sconce in a camp style twig design to accent the great camp style of the new lake house residence.
The first guest bedroom is on the North Side of the house and right at the top of the stairs.
The first guest room shower has three tertiary tiles that all complement each other as parts of a monochromatic green color scheme.

Our guest suite features a calming ambiance with soothing sage green walls and blue accents. Complete with an en suite bathroom, it offers a charming retreat for your guests to unwind and rejuvenate in absolute comfort.

T White Oak Vanity is the feature of this bathroom. Designed with green tones in mind, this bathroom utilizes a leafy wave tile and a monochromatic color scheme to enchant guests with a spa feel.
Prioritizing lakeside views, the bunkroom is designed to sleep six with pull-out trundle beds that can be hidden away when guests have gone home.

In this H-shape modern farmhouse design, it was critical that the Master Suite had an ideal view of the serene Lake George and surrounding mountains. The interior has a light and airy feeling with large windows to enjoy the view.
